I have to run!
I knew that in my head, but my legs refused to move out of fear.
Everything seemed like it was moving in slow motion as the swords came towards me.
Byakuyo…!
I squeezed my eyes shut, and then…-.
I felt something rush by my ear like the wind.
Man: "Uwa…!"
My eyes snapped open, and I watched as the sword one of the men was holding went flying in the air.
Wh-what happened?
Still not comprehending what was happening, another man's sword was sent flying.
Bow and arrows!?
I looked around…-.
From a passageway that looked out over the garden, I saw an imposing figure. It was Byakuyo, bow in hand.
Byakuyo: "OO!"
I had never before seen that piercing gaze from Byakuyo, glinting in the moonlight.
OO: "Byakuyo…!"
From beside the bow-wielding Byauyo streamed his retainers, who grabbed and subdued the men as they cowered and tried to defend themselves with their arms.
Byakuyo: "Seize her as well!"
As he walked over, Byakuyo's voice was sharp as he called out.
All the while as Byakuyo's men grabbed hold of her, Lady Kazuki continued to glare at me.
Byakuyo: "…"
Byakuyo stood in front of me, as if to shield me from her gaze.
