Clown: "Oh dear…I…"
OO: "What’s wrong?"
I asked as he hesitated.
Clown: "With this, my training is complete, and I must return."
OO: "Oh…I see…"
His words grated on my heart.
It’ll be lonely…
Clown: "You have my deepest thanks OO. Because of you, I was able to see the very best smile at the end of my journey. I’m glad you were my 100th."
Clown gently touched my cheek.
His eyes seemed full of affection, but the self I saw reflected in them…
OO: "Clown…?"
Clown: "…farewell."
I thought his smile seemed rather lonely, and he vanished as if by magic.
OO: "Clown…!"
I wonder…if I’ll see him again.
I felt the loneliness fill my chest as I stood there alone.
