Ch. 5: The True Cost of the Serum (MOON)
Corail seemed to have an interest in the serum that could beautify the coral.
Corail: “I… want to protect this beautiful coral. And I want more people to know how wonderful it is.”
Man: “Very well then…”
However, I couldn’t ignore the uneasy feeling I got as I watched the man.
Is this really going to be okay?
As I went to say what was on my mind…
I suddenly saw the expression in Corail’s eyes change.
Corail?
Corail: “It’s wonderful…or it would be, if that serum was actually good for the coral.”
Man: “Eh…?”
Corail’s voice had changed completely, growing lower.
OO: “Corail, are you alright…?”
Corail: “Yeah, don’t worry.”
Corail continued, not noticing how the change had startled me.
Corail: “There’s a lot of fish swimming around in the picture from before the serum was used. But in the picture after, there’s not a single fish. So, why is that?”
Man: “W-well, that’s…”
Corail: “What? Hurry and tell me.”
Corail pressed, a smile stuck to his face.
Corail: “It’s strange right?”
Man: “…”
The atmosphere around us grew increasingly tense.
