Ch. 5: End of a Dream (MOON)

We ran along the roof and quietly slipped back into a deserted hallway.

Guido: "If you go this way, you’ll exit out onto the main street. You must get away, kitten."

OO: "But Guido…"

Guido: "It’s alright. Their business is with me."

He caressed my cheek and winked.

Guido: "Go now."

OO: "But if I leave…"

Guido: "…"

OO: "Will we meet again? Will you come to see me again?"

Guido: "…If you’re with me, I’ll keep putting you in danger. This is good bye, my little kitten."

OO: "…!"

At that time, many footsteps echoed down the hallway, drawing closer to where we were.

Guido: "Some day…let’s meet again in the dream of the starry sky."

Turning his back to me, Guido stepped out into the middle of the hall.

OO: "Guido…!"

Without moving from behind a pillar, I held onto the mimosa flower garland.
