Ch. 2: In Front of the Hearth
Medi: "It’s cold…"
Having returned to the room, Medi was shivering in front of the hearth.
Of course you're cold, all things considered.
Medi: "Despite that, I was again able to create a beautiful piece of art today! First thing tomorrow I must present it to the commoners."
But…
OO: "Since the snow is still falling, won’t it have disappeared by tomorrow?"
Medi: "Whaaat!? Ah yes…I suppose so…."
He became crestfallen, and I somehow felt guilty.
[CHOICE]
-
It might still be there (SUN)
-
Sorry, I said too much (MOON)
Outside the window, the snow continued to fall.
I sent a tiny prayer to the sky... that the snow wouldn’t cover the place where Medi had fallen.
OO: "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that."
Medi: "No, it's alright...anyway..."
Medi let out a great sigh.
OO: "Ah, w-well it might still be there!"
Medi: "You think so!? You really do? Well, of course! You truly are a woman who understands the arts!"
Medi proudly stuck out his chest.
