Ch. 5: Run! (MOON)
Wh-what should we do?
From within the shadows of the thicket, two eyes gleamed unnaturally.
My legs were locked in place, and Shigure had gone white as he stood there shaking.
I'm scared…
I picked up the puppy, and without thinking I tightly clung to Shigure.
Shigure: "OO…"
I could see him tightly holding the dagger he'd just gotten back.
OO: "Shigure…"
The wolf was steadily moving closer to us.
At last, the black shadow leapt out towards us…
It's no use…!
Thinking that, I shut my eyes. In that instant, I suddenly felt my body lifted into the air.
OO: "…!"
I opened my eyes, and Shigure was carrying me in his arms.
Within my arms, the puppy tilted its head, blissfully ignorant.
OO: "Shigure…"
Shigure: "…we need to run!"
Shigure was running in the opposite direction of the wolf with all his might.
However, the wolf still chased after us.
