Ch. 5: Don't Let Go of a Friend's Hand (SUN)
I realized that after the events in the alley, the distance between Sirius and I had shrunk.
However…
Sirius: “Hey, what’re we doing today?”
Sirius bounced up and down, coming at me and getting really close with an innocent smile.
I’m happy he’s not upset like when we first met but…
With his heart more open to me, Sirius was innocent like a young boy.
King: “It seems you’ve become fast friends.”
Sirius: “Well, just this once I guess I have to thank you.”
King: “You’re doing well despite saying something so cruel.”
Rather than getting particularly upset, the king seemed pleased as he smiled.
Sirius: “Hey OO, let’s go to town today. Just staying in the castle all day is boring.”
OO: “But…”
We had only just been called to speak with the king.
Wouldn’t it be rude to leave now…?
As I thought that, the king smiled and deeply bowed his head.
King: “It’s alright. We were done here.”
OO: “Eh?”
King: “I merely wanted to see how the two of you were getting along. I am relieved to see you’ve become friends.”
Sirius: “Great! We’re going out OO.”
OO: “Ah…”
Sirius took my hand and gripped it tightly.
At the completely innocent action, I felt my cheeks getting hot on their own accord…
Turning towards Sirius, I let my mind think of what we would do while in town.
