Ch. 5: Invitation to a Concert (SUN)
Several days after that…
Dulfer paid me a visit as the sun had finished setting.
OO: "Dulfer…?"
Remembering how he’d said he liked me, I averted my gaze in embarrassment.
Dulfer: "Sorry for dropping by so suddenly. Do you have a minute?"
OO: "Sure…I’m free."
Dulfer smiled with relief…
…
……
OO: "A…concert?"
It seemed like Dulfer had come to invite me to a concert…
Dulfer: "That’s right. It’s nothing big, but I really want you to come. So I’m inviting you."
Dulfer tilted his head, looking at my closely.
With that, his jade green hair swayed and fell like silk.
Dulfer: "I really want you to come, no matter what. I’ll sing my heart out."
Sing…I’ll be able to hear Dulfer sing again?
My heart spontaneously began to race with expectation.
Dulfer: "So, you’ll come?"
OO: "…Yes! Of course I will."
Dulfer: "Great, I’m glad ♪ It’s been a really long time since I’ve done a concert like this."
OO: "Eh?"
Dulfer: "Remember, because I’m not big on cooperation. I like to sing freely. So it’s difficult for people around me to match up with me, or so they say. I’m told it’s difficult to keep things together when singing with me."
So that's what he means…
Free as the wind, I remember his behavior and nodded with certainty.
Dulfer: "It’s been a while since I’ve had a concert outside of official business…I really want you to hear the music of this country, alright?"
Dulfer’s words were so honest and happy that I nodded enthusiastically.
OO: "…Yes! I’m looking forward to it!"
Looking at me, Dulfer smiled in satisfaction.
