Eins: "Yaaaa!"
The intense sounds of metal striking metal rang out…
Eins’ sword struck his opponent’s.
The cheering swelled.
Eins won…!
Eins came over to me as he responded to the cheering of the crowd.
As he got closer, my heart sped up.
Eins: "Did you see how gallant I was!?"
OO: "Yes, you were amazing!"
Eins: "Wasn’t I?"
He gave a carefree smile, and I naturally smiled in return.
It really is best when he’s smiling.
Eins: "If I keep going at this rate, I’ll win the next match for sure! Oh right!"
OO: "Eh…?"
Clearing his throat, Eins looked at me intently.
Eins: "There’s something I absolutely have to tell you. If I get first place…"
Announcer: "The second match will begin soon. Participants, please gather at the starting area."
Eins: "Say…!"
OO: "Eh…?"
Eins’ voice was drowned out by the announcer.
Eins: "Looks like it’s time. I’m off! I’m counting on you to cheer for me until the end!"
OO: "Ah…Eins…!"
Waving, Eins rushed off excitedly.
OO: "What…was he saying…?"
Left behind, I tilted me head in confusion.
