Ch. 5: Because I've Decided to Protect You... (SUN)
We ran along the roof and quietly slipped back into a deserted hallway.
Guido: "I’m sure that was scary for you♠"
Setting me down, Guido gently embraced me
OO: "No…"
At my bluff, Guido let a laugh slip out.
Guido: "You may have gotten caught up in a dangerous situation…but will you allow me to protect you?"
OO: "Yes."
Guido: "Hide here, and don’t come out until I say it’s safe."
Many footsteps echoed down the hallway, drawing closer.
I concealed myself in the hiding place, and Guido went out into the middle of the hall.
Guido: "Now, let us begin, shall we?"
Surrounded on all sides with guns pointed at him, Guido drew forth a sword.
Guido…!
I squeezed the flower garland tightly.
A yellow flower petal slipped between my fingers and fluttered to the ground.
