Ch. 6: The Truth in the Language of Flowers (SUN)

Guido was surrounded at gun point.

Standing in the midst of it, he calmly drew his sword,

Guido: "Now, let’s begin, shall we?"

The guns fired in unison.

Guido…!

He nimble avoided the bullets and leapt up, swinging from the chandelier.

Holding on to it, he ran up the wall to the second floor.

Pursuer: "Damn! Shoot him down!"

Already one step ahead, Guido dropped down behind the gunmen.

Pursuer: "What…!?"

Guido: "It seems the tides have turned◆"

His sword gleamed as it struck the men.

Amazing…it’s like he’s dancing.

He danced marvelously until one by one, his opponents had all been defeated.

The last man crouched on the floor, and Guido pointed his sword at him.

Guido: "I know who sent you. Now, tell them that I won’t run anymore. And furthermore, I will show them no mercy."

Pursuer: "K…!"

The man ran off.

OO: "Guido…!"

I rushed over and he greeted me with his usual gentle smile.

Yet his mask was cracked and covered in scratches.

Guido: "Did I keep you waiting?"

He looked at the flower garland I was holding and smiled.

Guido: "You didn’t have to worry so much, this isn’t the first time I’ve done this kind of thing."

Saying that, he placed his hand on his cracked mask.

Guido: "This was the doing of my step-mother and younger brother. They consider me a nuisance and wanted to get rid of me. Until now, I thought I could handle it as it was my problem alone, however…"

After saying that, he slowly removed his mask and …

Pulling me close, he pressed his cheek against me.

Guido: "Having met you, I can no longer afford to say such things. I must fight in order to protect you from now on…"

OO: "Guido…"

Guido: "That is, if you stay with me◆"

OO: "Yes…I will…I’ll always be by your side."

Guido: "Kitten…"

He abruptly let out a small laugh and with something like determination, calmly let the mask fall to the floor.

And then…

He held on to me tightly.

Guido: "Hm?"

His gaze dropped to the flower garland I was holding.

Guido: "It’s become rather ragged hasn’t it."

He gently took the garland from my hands and placed it on my head.

Guido: "Do you remember what we were talking about before? The other meaning for the mimosa."

OO: "Yes…"

Guido: "In the language of flowers, it means ‘love of truth’."

OO: "Guido…"

His lips came near and I closed my eyes.

Eh…?

Something tender touched my nose and I opened my eyes.

Guido: "Did you think I was going to kiss you?"

Saying that, he kissed my cheek.

OO: "…"

I unintentionally grabbed his arm and…

Guido: "Kh…"

As I touched one of his wounds, Guido’s face twisted in pain.

OO: "I-I’m sorry!"

Guido: "No…it’s alright. Actually, if you kiss me kitten, my injuries will be healed◆"

OO: "My kiss…"

Guido: "Now…"

He tapped his lips mischievously.

OO: "…"

With my cheeks flushed, I slowly moved forward to kiss him.

It was a soft feeling, and his arm held me tightly against his body.

Guido: "Good girl…"

This time, he deepened the kiss.

OO: "Mm…"

Just like that, he slowly used his weight to lower me so that my back was touching the floor.

Guido: "Is this alright…?"

I gave a small nod, and without further delay he began kissing the nape of my neck.

As he caressed my skin, the scent of mimosa flowers floated up from his hair.
