Edmond's story is finally finished! I have to admit, I was pretty sure Edmond should have been categorized as a GENTLE type prince instead of PASSION, until the end. Before he's awakened, Edmond seems pretty docile and gentle, but things take a turn in both of the awakened routes.
These 5* guys sure take longer than I think they will. It didn't help that I actually had some trouble translating Edmond's story. There wasn't a particular thing that gave me trouble, but I think I ended up overthinking some things and burning myself out now and again.
However, there was one line in particular that I'm still not sure of, even at this point. The line is as follows, from Ch. 5: エドモント「元はと言えば、俺達王族があそこをあんな風にしてしまったのに…ー」
The line is spoken by Edmond as he discusses his past. And while I can take the sentence apart and make sense of the pieces, I'm still not sure what they're trying to say as a whole. I've taken my best guess however, and translated it as:
Edmond: "Even though looking back on it, it was the royal family that caused this to happen…-"
If anyone has any suggestions on how to translate this line better, please comment below. I'm still new to translating like this, and I'm more than open to suggestions on how I can improve myself. There are a few other places that I'm not sure of on the translations, but I figure if it makes sense and I did my best...that's what counts!
Another thing I wanted to mention about Edmond is that he's one of the few princes, at least so far, that does not ask the main character to drop her formal way of speaking. So throughout the story, she still retains her more polite speech pattern when talking to Edmond, retaining suffixes, and he also tends to speak more formally. Just like dropping the formal speech pattern is hard to get across in English, when characters retain it, it can also be difficult to translate. Keep that in mind as you read through this story!
